What is ‘KONY 2012’?   ‘Kony 2012′ is a new documentary and a social media campaign from the groupInvisible Children’.  The grassroots organization is hoping to end war criminal Joseph Kony’s reign of terror and abduction of children for his army in Uganda.  On their website, Invisible Children explains they want to inspire young people to help end the longest-running conflict in Africa.  ‘Kony 2012’ has been seen by millions of viewers this week.    Watch the 30-minute ‘KONY 2012’ documentary:  http://kony2012.s3-website-us-east-1.amazonaws.com/

NOTE: Some critics have raised questions about the group “Invisible Children” since the KONY 2012 documentary effort went viral, contending that the non-profit organization, headquartered in San Diego, Calif., spends most of its money on its administration and filmmaking efforts. Charity Navigator rates the organization 2 out of 4 stars on accountability and transparency.  

“Legalize it”?? Pat Robertson says marijuana should be legalized and treated like beverage alcohol because the government’s war on drugs has failed. The founder of the Christian Broadcasting Network and long-time host of “The 700 Club” said the war on drugs is costing taxpayers billions of dollars and people should not be sent to prison for marijuana possession. Traffic Alert…

Davidson County:  I-85 NB traffic will be shifted onto a newly constructed section of I-85 North near the Highway 150 interchange later tonight.   Expect a detour and delays starting at 8pm until 7am Saturday morning.

 Winston-Salem:   Expect more traffic around the Joel Coliseum with the MEAC basketball tournament in town through Sunday.
