Wednesday Word – May 8

So this is my 20th Sharathon at WBFJ. Wow! The kid who graduated college last weekend was only a toddler. His sister was an infant and the 16-year old was the “proverbial glint in the eye”. Family dynamics for each of us have changed dramatically over the past couple decades. Finding any constants in society to serve as a common denominator is an improbable proposition. However, thanks to the support of many great listeners here in the Piedmont Triad, WBFJ has been there for each of our families through every transition.

From words of hope and encouragement to songs of joy and celebration, no phase of life has been left untouched. It is a testimony to God’s goodness that we stand here today at the threshold of a new year of ministry seeking the funds that will sustain it.

We have always claimed that Sharathon is a family reunion. This week provides us another opportunity to say “thank you” to you for your faithful prayer and financial support and to the Lord whose hand provides all that we need.

Married my high school sweetheart (Diane) in 1987. She teaches kindergarten. We attend, fellowship and serve at Faith Missionary Alliance Church of Midway. We have three children: Tyler (20), Brianna (17) and Bradley (14) Obviously most of my free time (what’s that?) is divided between family, church and community activities. Got into radio at age 15…have been part of the WBFJ team since 1983.
