Wednesday Word – January 30

WOW!  We finally got some snow!  It was so exciting to see the white
fluffy stuff falling out of the dark grayish sky and watch everyone’s
reactions!  Some folks did not care; just sat back and watched,
some went crazy and some did not like the idea at all!  I for
one….loved it, did not get enough and hope for another even bigger
snow!  Have you ever thought how snow could be related to what
God does for us?  Just like snow, we begin life very innocent and
pure.  As snow stays around, the purity of it goes away and turns black
and yuck!  As we age into accountabiliy, sin in our life also tarnishes
our heart.  And finally, the yuckee snow melts away, which is symbolic
for when we accept Christ and our sins are forgiven.  Trusting in God
gives us sure footing in whatever the weather brings us.  The more
we are like Christ, the more we can reflect His image and the beautiful
snowfalls in life!

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in
Christ Jesus our Lord.”  Romans 6:23
