The FDA is revamping its definition of ‘healthy’ to reflect our changing understanding of nutrition science. The push is fueling debate about eating habits and what the new standard should say. Some say the word healthy is inherently misleading when applied to a single product instead of an overall diet.

Nearly 18 months after a tornado destroyed the original gym at Courtney Elementary School, a replacement opened to the public on Tuesday, with many of the old gym’s distinctive features rebuilt – including wooden arches and pine-board ceiling – preserving its unique look. The gym’s construction cost $1.3 million dollars, most of which was covered by insurance. School officials wanted to have the gym open for basketball season, which starts Thursday.

Update: All new high chairs in the US will adhere to a new, stricter set of safety standards starting in June 2019 according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. The move is designed to reduce the number of childhood injuries…

Walmart is expanding a speedier checkout service

Here’s the deal: For customers who have a few items and want to check out quickly, Walmart says. Staff, equipped with mobile devices and Bluetooth printers, will help customers pay by swiping their credit card and provide them with a paper or electronic receipt.    BTW: In the next few weeks, Sam’s Club is opening its first store WITHOUT registers or cashiers in Dallas, which will serve as an incubator to test new technology.

RECALL:  HarleyDavidson is recalling nearly 178,000 motorcycles in the U.S. because they can get stuck in gear due to a clutch problem. The recall covers 26 models from 2017 and 2018. FREE fixes will be done through the dealerships.
