SCAM Alert:  Reports of telemarketers from an organization called themselves “Breast Cancer Services” are asking for money donations over the phone.

This is a scam. The phone number in question appears with a 919 area code.

When people decline to donate, the caller gets angry and hangs up.

BTW: There is NO group in NC with the name “Breast Cancer Services

TIPS:  If any charity reaches out to you asking for money, do your research,

Go online and look for a website, Twitter and Facebook page associated with that group. Check websites like “Guide Star” or “Charity Navigator” that assess how non-profits spend their money. Don’t be afraid to ask the caller questions…

If you get a call that is suspicious: write down the phone number and call police.

Apple Declares War on Hulu And Netflix ?

Not to be completely outpaced by the likes of Netflix, Amazon and Hulu, Apple has come to an agreement with Steven Spielberg to revive the famed director’s anthology series Amazing Stories.

Amazing Stories ran for two seasons from 1985 to 1987 on NBC, and despite winning 12 Emmys, it was eventually canceled due to low ratings. The show was supposed to be a modern version of The Twilight Zone and shows of its ilk, with a new director helming each episode. Some of the directors that worked on the show’s original run included Clint Eastwood, Martin Scorsese, Robert Zemeckis, Brad Bird and Spielberg himself.

What is still unclear is how Apple will distribute the show to an audience. Apple will either have to rebuild and rebrand Apple Music or debut a new service specifically for video content. https://goo.gl/yhuxAt
