‘Christian manifesto’ on human sexuality. A nationwide coalition of more than 150 conservative Christian leaders signed a statement on Tuesday affirming their beliefs on human sexuality, including that marriage is between one man and one woman and approval of “homosexual immorality” is sinful. The Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood’s list of 14 beliefs, referred to as the Nashville Statement, is a response to an increasingly post-Christian, Western culture that thinks it can change God’s design for humans, according to the statement. “Our true identity, as male and female persons, is given by God. It is not only foolish, but hopeless, to try to make ourselves what God did not create us to be,” the statement from the coalition members reads. Details on the News Blog: https://goo.gl/5azbo4
Your smartphone got wet: Don’t do this…
Do NOT turn it on! What kills a wet phone is electricity
Do not charge it. Do not plug it in to see if it works. If it’s on, electricity will flow, it will touch the water that’s inside and that’s when you fry the (circuit) board.
FYI: Newer phones may be ‘water resistant’, none are water proof.

UPDATE: Ray and Wilma Yoder have completed their journey. The Indiana couple has finally eaten at every single Cracker Barrel location (that’s 645 locations) in the United States. Monday, the couple celebrated Ray’s birthday at (you got it) the grand opening of the new Cracker Barrel in Tualatin, Oregon.
All expenses were paid by Cracker Barrel.
Their quest began 40 years ago when Ray delivered recreational vehicles across the country for Coachman. He always chose to eat at Cracker Barrel because he liked the food, and more importantly, he liked the atmosphere. “It has a down-home spirit and everybody is friendly. It’s like being at home.”
His wife Wilma eventually joined him on the trips. The couple has spent over 30 years together on the road, checking off hundreds of Cracker Barrel locations from their list…together. https://goo.gl/Wy4HuZ

Helping others in need…
One Houston furniture store owner who said his community has supported him through tough times is paying it forward by turning his two stores into shelters to help evacuees. After Hurricane Harvey hit Houston, Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale of Gallery Furniture gathered volunteers and his delivery trucks to rescue people. “We had several Penske rental trucks, 24-foot trucks that you can get in any flooded street,” he said Monday. “We sent volunteers out in Houston picking up people.” Now 400 children and adults are living at his two stores, and he has allowed the families to bring their pets. McIngvale and his army of volunteers also are providing free breakfast, lunch and dinner for the evacuees.
