WBFJ Wednesday Word

Can anything God gives you ever turn out to be bad for you? The answer after a quick word from our sponsor: “Manna—God’s daily provision”.

“Manna” is Heavenly Food—ALL Natural and it’s good for you! You’ll be at your best when you feast on MANNA! Call before 12 midnight!

Now back to our regular programming.

Remember the Biblical account of how the Lord daily fed the Children of Israel in the desert. He sent down daily MANNA. The people were to gather it and consume it the same day. Any who failed to trust the Lord and tucked some away for the next day found out they had worms instead of MANNA.

The lesson: We must not just receive from God but listen to Him for the fine print—in that case, an expiration date! Something good turned bad in 24 hours!

Here’s a different example from a friend—she was single and the Lord brought what she thought was MR. Right into her life. She was  excited and in her mind started planning the wedding. One day the relationship suddenly went south when she discovered she and Mr. Right were ”unequally” yoked as the Bible says. They broke up and she started doubting if she had really heard “God’s voice” from  the beginning.

The problem: she received from God but His will for her  was  to help Mr. Right get right with God somewhere down the road– ending the relationship was just a much a part of the plan as the initial introduction. It’s just a good thing she really did stay in tune with God’s will.

We must always read the fine print from God and always receive our updates from Him—fresh MANNA. God’s plan for your today may be different from His plan for your yesterday! His mercies are new every morning!
