Today is Ash Wednesday –  First day of the Lenten season

Be Prepared: Keep hands, feet and face covered up during COLD weather

Watch for signs of frostbite. These include loss of feeling and white or pale appearance in extremities such as fingers, toes, ear lobes, and nose.

Watch for signs of hypothermia. These include uncontrollable shivering, memory loss, disorientation, incoherence, slurred speech, drowsiness, and apparent exhaustion. If symptoms of hypothermia are detected, take victim to a warm location, remove wet clothing, warm the center of the body first and give warm (non-alcoholic) beverages if conscious. Get medical help ASAP

A church in Texas has started a ‘million-dollar construction project to build the ‘Largest Cross in the US’.  Pastor Rick Milby, one of the organizers of the Corpus Christie Cross Project, boosting the ‘cross’ is expected to stand 210 feet tall and 95 feet wide (or about the size of a 20-story high building) on the campus of Abundant Life Fellowship.   BTW: The Cross will cast a 60 foot shadow
