The main question, of course, is – “What stinks?” – And, more importantly, when will it be addressed? ANSWER: The city has a sewer outfall replacement project under construction along Mill Creek in the vicinity of Shattalon Drive. Late last week, a temporary cover was placed over a sewer manhole – which appears to be the source of the odor. According to City Officials, hopefully the temporary cover will fix the problem.  https://www.journalnow.com/news/ask_sam/ask-sam-what-is-causing-the-smell-on-shattalon-drive/article_a50ef9ba-45bf-5ae9-8406-1b5d025af91c.html   The Closure Date for Business 40, which was originally planned for November 11th, has been moved to Saturday, November 17th, at 6am. When it comes to correcting your children – Spank – or – No Spank? The American Academy of Pediatrics has strengthened its advice against spanking because of the potential for long-term harm, saying that spanking is falling out of favor among parents, especially those with young children. While some parents still believe it can lead to short-term improvements in behavior, studies show spanking is no more effective than non-physical punishment, including timeouts, setting firm limits and establishing unwanted consequences. https://www.journalnow.com/news/nation_world/don-t-spank-pediatricians-warn-parents-of-long-term-harms/article_4641cf7b-fd70-58dd-a30c-909fd9fc6ad0.html   Check those cabinets and pantriesDuncan Hines has recalled certain cake mixes due to salmonella concerns.
