Update: Jan Crouch, co-founder of the Trinity Broadcasting Network, passed away early Tuesday morning after suffering a massive stroke over the weekend.  She was 78.  Her husband, Paul Crouch, passed away in 2013.

-Jan and her husband, the late Paul Crouch, founded the Trinity Broadcasting Network (the world’s largest Christian television network) back in 1973.

Extra law enforcement was called into one Piedmont school this morning.  An unspecified ‘threat’ toward Archdale-Trinity Middle School was posted on social media over the weekend. -Principal Todd Beane stating that “the safety of our students and staff is our first priority at all times.”     http://goo.gl/KIISFT

 

Good News: If you are a coffee drinker, you may start noticing that the price of your favorite coffee going down. Reason: the price of coffee beans has fallen.

Seriously? Dr. Henry Heimlich, (yes that Dr Heimlich) recently saved a chocking woman…his first use of the ‘maneuver’.  According to Yahoo News, the 96-year-old retired ‘chest surgeon’ was in the dining room last week in the adult center where he lives in Cincinnati, when an 87-year-old woman sitting next to him began choking. Heimlich dislodged food from the woman’s airway and she quickly recovered. BTW: Heimlich said in interviews that it was actually the first time he’d used the maneuver that bears his name. http://yhoo.it/1P4SiBm
Come-back kids? The Golden State Warriors (and Steph Curry) won Game 7 of the NBA’s Western Conference finals last night over the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Warriors fell behind 3 games to one in the best-of-seven series before rallying to win three straight games.
