Just a warning… Police officer Paul Rogerson pulled over a speeding car about 40 miles south of Salt Lake City, Utah earlier in the week. As Officer Rogerson checked the driver’s ID, he was informed that the passenger was legendary soul singer Gladys Knight…being driven to a choir performance at a nearby church.
In a once in a lifetime meeting (on the officer’s birthday), the performer ended up singing Happy Birthday and taking a picture with the officer. BTW: the driver was released…with just a warning.
BTW: Gladys Knight and the Pips had big hits in the 1960s and 1970s with “I Heard It Through the Grapevine” and “Midnight Train to Georgia.”
