Volunteers to re-open Skippy’s Hot Dogs

A week long ‘fundraiser’ for Skippy’s Hot Dogs begins this Saturday at 10 a.m.

Dozens of local restaurant employees and volunteers will reopen Skippy’s Hot Dogs (located at 624 W. Fourth St., in downtown Winston-Salem) for one week.

Details: Daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. through April 30 to raise money for owner Mike Rothman, who has brain cancer. Rothman’s bills are considerable as he continues treatment near his parents’ home in Harrisburg, Pa.

Here’s the deal: More than 12 local restaurants will donate their time and talents  to reopen Skippy’s serving a limited menu of hot dogs, chips, fries and drinks

Hot dogs will cost $4, fries $3, chips $1 and drinks $1.
