Volunteers are needed for Guardian Ad Litem programs in Davidson and Davie

Become court-appointed advocates and monitor the care and outcomes for children who have been abused and neglected. Guardians ad litem get to know the children, investigate their situations and options, and report to the court the children’s desires and best interests. They talk with parents, foster caregivers, social workers, health care providers, teachers, and others to be able to advocate for the child’s welfare. The guardians’ reports help judges make an informed decision about the child’s future. Their contact with the child provides a friend who is looking out just for the child while he or she is in the system. INFO: Call (336) 242-6719   www.GAL22B.org
