Non-Perishable Food (Canned Food)

Diapers

Baby Formula

Baby Wipes

Personal Hygiene Items

First Aide Supplies

Dog Food

Drop-Off date: Thursday, October 27th

Lexington: Supplies are being collected for flood victims in Lumberton

You can drop off items at the Lexington YMCA, Davidson County Community Action, Union Baptist Church and Worley Insurance on N Main street in Lexington.    No donation is too small.  Contact: Kassie Newman

Kernersville – The Bridge Fellowship / Disaster relief for Lumberton NC

Collecting donations of water, cleaning supplies (clorox wipes, paper towels and yard tools) to help those in need.

A little over half (53%) of homeowners had flood insurance last year (2015).

American Red Cross –  The Red Cross of Eastern North Carolina is looking for volunteers to help manage shelters, deliver food and answer phone calls.  Blood donations needed: http://rdcrss.org/1RzohGb.

 

 

Baptists on Mission / NC Baptist Men  –  Volunteers from Baptists on Mission are preparing hot meals for victims of Hurricane Matthew at various locations throughout the week.  *Volunteers are needed to help prepare and serve meals and assist with clean-up. Salvation Army –  The Salvation Army is asking for donations to help with disaster relief.  In Fayetteville: Donations needed include travel-size toiletries (soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes), plus pillows, blankets and trash bags.  Items can be dropped off at area Salvation Army locations. To donate money, go online to https://goo.gl/PptJEZ      Call 1-800-SAL-ARMY or text STORM to 51555.

 

Feed the Hunger   –  Feed the Hunger, an organization based in Graham, is packing meals to send to hurricane victims in Haiti, Jamaica and cities across the southeastern US.  The organization is hosting packing events in Burlington and Greensboro on Oct. 22 and in Charlotte on Oct. 28-29.  Details at http://www.feedthehunger.org
