UNC-G will finally recognize a local Christian, pro-life student group as an official “campus organization” (NEWS for Wednesday)

 UNCG will recognize a Christian, pro-life student group as an official “campus organization”.   UNC-G had previously denied the “Make Up Your Own Mind” group with official access stating that it didn’t qualify as a religious organization.  The Alliance Defense Fund filed a lawsuit for the student group last month.   www.makeupyourownmind.org    www.telladf.org

After more than 200 years, Encyclopedia Britannica will stop publishing print editions of its encyclopedia. The Chicago-based company will continue to offer digital versions of the encyclopedia.  The final hardcover encyclopedia set is available for sale at Britannica’s website for around $1,400 dollars. The top year for the printed encyclopedia was 1990, when 120,000 sets were sold.  FYI: Encyclopedia Britannica was first published in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 1768. www.news-record.com/content/2012/03/13/article/encyclopaedia_britannica_to_end_print_editions

Officials in Trenton, New Jersey say they’ve resolved a fight over toilet paper. The Mayor of Trenton is moving forward with an emergency purchase of toilet paper and paper towels.
