Forsyth County commissioners have approved nearly $1.2 million in incentives to lure Herbalife to the former Dell plant in Forsyth County. Winston-Salem and Atlanta are in the running for a $100 million manufacturing and distribution facility for Herbalife – a California-based nutrition company. Traffic Alert – Lexington Road crews have started repairing the section of the Winston Road (N.C. 8) bridge over Business 85 South that was damaged earlier this year. **The bridge near Hayes Jewelers, McDonalds and Big Lots in Lexington. Old Winston Road (Highway 8 / old 52) is CLOSED over the bridge as well as all lanes of Business 85 SOUTH at the interchange. The bridge should be back open by December 20.

The Attorney General’s Office has dropped the criminal charge against state Rep. Larry Womble. Special prosecutors said they lacked enough evidence to prosecute.
