Thousands are still in need after devastating flooding in South Carolina.

The South Carolina Emergency Management webpage suggests that the most needed items include nonperishable foods, blankets, sheets, pillows, towels, diapers, baby wipes, baby formula, baby food, toothpaste, soap, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, mops, plastic flatware, buckets, rubber gloves, sponges and trash bags. Most needed: monetary assistance.  www.scemd.org/recovery-section/donations-and-volunteers.

Local churches are still collecting items for flood victims in SC.

Thanks to the members and staff at High Rock Church in Lexington who are still collecting items to help the victims of the recent flooding in South Carolina. The church on Lowe’s Boulevard across from the Wal-Mart is a central collection point for all churches and community members in the Lexington area. http://goo.gl/SmvfPe
