"Sweet Caroline" – Singer Neil Diamond donates royalities to One Fund Boston…

Singer Neil Diamond will donate royalties from his song “Sweet Caroline” to “One Fund Boston” – the fund that was set up to “help the people most affected by the recent Boston Marathon bombings”.   ‘One Fund Boston’ has raised more than $23 million dollars as of Wednesday.  “Sweet Caroline” has been played at every Boston Red Sox home game for more than a decade. According to Nielson, the song was downloaded more than 19,000 times this week, with sales up almost 600%.  FYI: Neil Diamond recorded the song in 1969 as an homage to Caroline Kennedy, the daughter of the late President John F. Kennedy.    http://www.cnn.com/2013/04/24/showbiz/neil-diamond-donates-royalties/index.html?hpt=hp_t5
