WBFJ Ministry of the Month for November is “Newborns in Need”
Angelika Stephens – President of the Winston-Salem chapter / “Newborns in Need”. ‘Newborns in Need’ is a national charity with 63 chapters throughout the US. Locally, ‘Newborns in Need’ meets the second Thursday of the month at Pfafftown Christian Church. www.newbornsinneed.org
Angelika says…”The title Newborns in Need almost says it all. We are helping babies that are at risk due to health issues or a financially challenged environment. We pack diaper totes and give them to the local agencies like Preganancy Care Management, Welcome baby, or directly to the hospitals. These totes are filled with diapers, wipes, a bottle, babywash, onesies, sleepers, and blankets, which are hand made by our volunteers. If need be we also provide Pack n’ Plays to the agencies to give to their clients.”
