With all of the national attention that domestic violence has received in the past 2 to 3 weeks, victims of domestic violence are starting to reach out for help. Locally, Family Services of Winston-Salem has seen a 30 to 40% increase in people calling for help, over the last two weeks. http://goo.gl/OGMxxV The National Domestic Violence Hotline saw an 84% increase in calls for help …just two days after the latest “Ray Rice elevator video” was made public.
