President Obama will make several stops in the Triad during his three-day bus tour which starts this morning in Asheville.  News 14 Carolina reporting that the President will speak at West Wilkes High School in Millers Creek this afternoon before spending the night in Greensboro.  The President will speak on the GTCC campus in Jamestown on Tuesday. Traffic Alert for the Presidential motorcade making its way through the Triad early this evening.    

The ‘Women’s Right to Know Act’ passed by the state legislature in late July and set to go into law later this month is being challenged by several groups including Planned Parenthood and the ACLU.  The Women’s Right to Know Act, a huge victory for the pro-life movement, will require all women inNorth Carolina seeking an abortion to wait 24 hours, get information about the procedure and receive an ultra sound before choosing  the fate of their unborn child.   A hearing is set for this morning in Federal court inGreensboro.  Read more about the challenge: http://ncfpc.org/stories/110930s1.html

Two time Indy 500 winner Dan Wheldon was killed during a 15 car crash at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday.  Dan Weldon was 33 years old.  He is survived by his wife (Susie) and their two young children.  FYI: Susie is a native of Winston-Salem.

 Reverend Billy Graham’s latest book ‘Nearing Home’ comes out on Tuesday. The book is about his personal experiences of growing older and teaches some important lessons on the purpose of our later years. Dr Graham will be 93-years-young on November 7th.
