Winston-Salem Firefighters plan to host a Cookout for Children with Muscular Dystrophy and their Families on Tuesday.  Firefighters plan to cook a spaghetti supper at 5 and 6:15 p.m. at Camp Carefree at 275 Carefree Lane in Stokesdale.
Organizers said they’ll start the event around 2 p.m. They said this is a special week at the camp for children with muscular dystrophy.  “It’s hard to put into words how rewarding this is to everyone involved,” said David Pollard, president of the Winston-Salem Professional Fire Fighters Association. “It is something everyone should have the privilege of experiencing.”

ask – “WHY?” – Scot is Running to Raise Money for College Scholarships supported by Sunnyside Ministry of Winston Salem!
He has already raised $3,835.00 – but, Hopes to Reach his Goal of $6,400.00 to create the
“Bill Fortescue Scholarship” in honor of his Father who died five years ago.  The Scholarship would provide a student with a Laptop… Printer… and, $800.00 a Semester for Four Years of College.
It would be awarded for the 2014-2015 School Year.
