Not much SUN for sunrise services across the TRIAD yesterday.. Rain jackets were needed for those out for the sunrise Easter service in Old Salem early yesterday. Hundreds of people braved the rain to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. It was part of a celebration people return to year after year and one the Moravian Church started nearly 250 years ago.
Is a NEW Davie HIGH SCHOOL coming soon? Davie County’s school superintendent is expected to ask county commissioners tonight at their board meeting for funding to replace the current high school. The newest proposal is for one replacement high school, on Farmington Road near North Davie Middle School. The meeting will be at 7 p.m. at the county’s Administration Building, 123 S. Main St. in Mocksville.

I – 77 South Bound, near Fancy Gap, is RE-opened after yesterdays 95 car accident. Fog is attributed to be the main cause, however speed during unfavorable conditions also made it difficult for motorists to stop.

Winston Salem Residence are thankful this morning that the pilot of a fatal plane crash was able to guide the aircraft in a way that avoided further tragedy yesterday.. The crash occured between Kearns and Chatham Farm Rd. The cause of the accident has not yet been released.

The masses watched the conclusion of the Bible mini-series on the History Channel last night.  Over 80 million people viewed The Bible Mini-series taking over the number one spot on iTUNES for top TV show downloads.
of course for Easter Sunday, last nights program focused on: The crucifixion, resurrection and return of Jesus to his disciples + John the Revelator on the Isle of Patmos.
The Bible mini-series will be available Blu-ray and DVD with hours of exclusive special features TOMORROW.  A Bible study on DVD and a book series is currently available.

In less than two weeks you can stroll, sprint or pedal to help the families of Davidson County who are affected by cancer. The Carolina Cancer Services will hold one of its biggest fundraisers when hundreds of people come together for the 11th annual “Walk, Run, Ride for Life.” on April 13 at Finch Park. There will also be live entertainment, information booths, a cancer survivor’s tent, a special balloon release, games, children’s activities and food.
