President Donald Trump has signed a $900 billion pandemic relief package that will deliver long-sought cash to businesses and individuals. It also averts a government shutdown. Now, with the president’s signature, the checks will be at $600 per adult and per dependent child, with caps based on annual income.

Officials responded to a fire at a Lowe’s Foods in Winston-Salem on Sunday.
A trash can was reportedly set on fire at the Lowe’s Foods on 3372 Robinhood Road.
The building was not damaged. The fire was extinguished quickly.

The Carolina Panthers beat the Washington Football Team 20-13 on Sunday at FedExField. The Panthers are now 5-10 on the season. Carolina next plays the New Orleans Saints on January 3rd at 1:00pm at the Bank of America Stadium.
Master bluegrass picker Tony Rice has passed away at age 69 after a career in which he drew fans worldwide for his quick, fluid playing. Rice died Friday at his home in Reidsville, North Carolina. He performed or recorded with musicians including Ricky Skaggs, Dolly Parton and Jerry Garcia. Skaggs calls Rice “the single most influential acoustic guitar player in the last 50 years.”
