 A Greensboro firefighter who was running in the Chicago Marathon on Sunday collapsed 500 yards from the finish line, and later died at an area hospital.  Captain William Caviness was only 35 years old and is survived by his wife and two young children.  Caviness was running to raise money for charity.  An emergency meeting between Egyptian army officials and Coptic Christian leaders is set for later today after deadly protests erupted in Cairo with at least 24 people killed and nearly 300 people injured on Sunday. The protests grew larger after the burning of a Coptic Christian church in southern Egypta week ago.  Sunday’s violence was the worst in Egyptsince the uprising that ousted Hosni Mubarak back in February. www.worldmag.com/index.cfm
