Families Or Singles Who Need Help with Heat or Energy Bills can apply for the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program. This Winter, the Program is expected to see a huge jump in clients at the Salvation Army in Winston-Salem. Last Year, the Program served 4,000 people and is expected to serve 6,000 over the next few months. To keep up with the demand, the non-profit is hiring extra staff, extending hours, and staying open on days. The Center of Hope Shelter – also run by the Salvation Army – is already at Full Capacity. At 4 Pounds, 2 Ounces, Kenyon Elijah Shore was the First Baby born in 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. His Parents are Kenyon and Heather Shore of Mount Airy. Little Kenyon was due February 25th, Heather Shore said, and is currently in the Hospital’s Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit. Winston-Salem Officials said Wednesday that they have designated 10 Drop-off Locations for used Christmas Trees by those who are ready to get rid of them immediately, or who live in apartments or outside the city limits. Residents in Single-family Homes inside the City Limits can put their Christmas Trees out for curbside pickup during regular city brush collection.
The City grinds up the Trees for Mulch for use in Parks and Roadsides. All Lights, Decorations, Stands and Nails Must be Removed from the Trees, whether they are put at the curb or taken to a Center. The Center Drop-offs End on January 31st.

Labeled as “Harris Teeter’s Chef’s Recipe Chicken and Wild Rice Soup” – THAT Soup does Not list Egg as an Ingredient.The Items with the Following Label, produced on December 12, 2014, are subject to recall:
