“One brave little girl”  A 7-year-old girl (Sailor Gutzler) was the sole survivor of a twin engine crash in western Kentucky late Friday night.  And all by herself, Sailor trekked almost a mile in the dark through rugged terrain to get help.  Sailor’s mom, dad, sister and cousin were all killed in the small plane crash about 30 miles east of Paducah, Kentucky.      http://goo.gl/eJaLGb

Sad News:  Stuart Scott, longtime “SportsCenter” anchor with ESPN, passed away Sunday morning after a re-occuring battle with cancer.  He  was 49. Stuart Scott attended Mount Tabor High School before finishing up his last two years at RJ Reynolds High School here in Winston-Salem. 17 Flu deaths in North Carolina – All area hospitals have ‘visitor restrictions’ in place because of the increase in FLU cases.  The restrictions are in place for family members 18 years and younger…but do NOT apply to those who need emergency care or to patients. Firefighters were busy battling flames and heavy smoke at the home of Carolina Panthers’ head coach, Ron Rivera, in south Charlotte early this morning. Good News: Everyone inside the house got out okay.  Officials are investigating the cause of the fire.        WSOC
