How far would you go to kill a spider? A 34-year-old Kansas woman was arrested last week after fire crews were called out in the wee hours of the morning to extinguish a small fire in Ginny Griffith’s apartment (duplex).
A police summary of the incident: Ginny used a cigarette lighter to set some towels on fire…to kill a spider. BTW: Ginny was arrested on a charge of aggravated arson. The spider’s whereabouts, unknown.
How much vacation time do you use?
According to a Glassdoor survey, the average U.S. worker has used only HALF of their eligible vacation time during the past 12 months.
The top reasons for not taking vacation time: No one else can do our job, a fear of getting behind and we are afraid of losing our job.
Fact: The typical US worker at a private company is given 10 days of paid vacation and 6 paid holidays. In France and England, employees are given up to 30 vacation days.
Still connected: Over half (61%) of us who take time off are ‘still working during vacation’… because of being connected by our digital devices.
World Cup Soccer: Team USA vs Belgium on Tuesday.
Team USA lost to Germany, but still advanced to the sweet 16 – knockout round of games.
VERSE: “Let everything that has breath praise the LORD” Psalm 150
QUOTE: “A person who loves his job, will never work a day in his life.”
