Sunday is National Ice Cream Day… Back in 1984, then President Ronald Reagan proclaimed July as National Ice Cream Month…along with National Ice Cream Day as the third Sunday in July.
Speaking of ice cream, what about the ice cream cone?
Well, Charles E. Minches of St. Louis, Missouri is credited with inventing the ice cream cone during the 1904 World’s Fair in St. Louis. There is some controversy: Italo Marchiony of New York City filed a patent for the ice cream cone months before the World’s Fair opened…Hummm….
