Need a job?? Fox 8 reporting that two businesses in Forsyth County will be hiring hundreds of people over the next few weeks.
US Airways wants to fill nearly 200 positions at its reservation center in Winston-Salem as soon as possible. The airline will run a large ad in area newspapers this week with more information. www.USAirways.com                                                  –Caterpillar needs to fill up to 400 positions at its new facility by the end of the year. The Alliance Defense Fund filed a formal petition to the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners on Thursday to overturn a lower court’s ruling that banned sectarian prayers (including mentioning the name of Jesus) at the start of County Commissioner meetings.  A new V.A. Clinic for veterans will likely be built in Kernersville. The Winston-Salem Journal reporting that the clinic should be open in mid- 2013.

 The World Series is going to Game 7. The St Louis Cardinals winning Game 6 of the World Series last night 10 to 9 in 11 innings over the Texas Rangers.   Game 7 tonight in St Louis.

Army SGT Joseph Smith and his family from Thomasville will get the keys to their new home on Saturday during a special presentation by ‘Homes for Our Troops’, a national non-profit organization dedicated to building specially adapted homes for severely injured veterans.  SGT Smith was severely injured during his fourth deployment toAfghanistan.
