Honoring Nathan Clark

Nathan’s legacy lives on!   Nathan Clark, the 13 year soccer player at Calvary Baptist Day School who was accidently shot in a hotel room while attending a tournament in Raleigh last year. This Saturday Calvary Baptist Day holds its third annual Cougar Challenge 5K Fun Run at the school’s soccer field. All the proceeds will go to the Nathan Clark Scholarship Fund.

Nathan’s grandmothers will be participating – virtually:

Cheryl Clark lives in Franklin and is currently undergoing chemotherapy…some of her nursing students from Western Carolina are coming to Winston-Salem to run

His other grandma, Irene Furr – is a runner herself and will join the race in a t-shirt bearing Nathan’s favorite verse:  Ephesians 6:10  “Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.”
