Update: Samaritan’s Purse has deployed two Disaster Relief Units to Texas.
These tractor trailers will stand by in north Texas and move into areas of devastation as soon as weather permits. Stocked with tools, chainsaws and emergency supplies, the units provide the North Carolina-based organization with the equipment necessary to help families devastated by the storm.
*Two disaster relief units, as well as tool trailers and mobile kitchens will soon be working in the hardest-hit areas in Southeast Texas—preparing to tear out damaged drywall, remove flooring, tarp roofs and clear debris.

Update: What’s left of Hurricane Harvey has stalled out over southeast Texas causing widespread flooding. Flood Watches and Warnings have been posted thru mid-week. “Tens of thousands” of Texas residents along the Gulf coast have moved north, filling up shelters in San Antonio, Dallas and Fredericksburg, Texas
-About 50 Texas counties and parts of Louisiana are experiencing flooding.
-More than 2,000 residents have been rescued from flooded homes so far
-12,000 National Guard personnel have been deployed to southeast Texas
