It’s OK to drink the water?  Starting Wednesday, tap water in homes and businesses on the western side of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County may appear
discolored for a few days.  According to Utilities officials, while the discoloration does not pose a health threat, but you may NOT want to wash clothes while the water is discolored.  Areas affected:  West of Stratford Road to Reynolda Road, including portions of the Southwest, West and Northwest wards.  Hess is getting out of the gas station business.  Shedding the green and white gas stations that stretch from New Hampshire to Florida will allow a shift toward exploration and production capabilities. The Winston-Salem Journal reporting that it’s unclear how the change might affect the 16 Wilco-Hess gas stations in Forsyth County.  www.journalnow.com

for 2013.  Also making the list: Asheville and Charlotte. History Channel’s ‘The Bible’ premiere delivered divine Nielsen ratings Sunday night, thumping all of the major broadcast shows. The miniseries’ two-hour cable network premiere was seen by 13.1 million viewers and scored a 3.3 rating among  adults 18-49.  BTW: That’s more viewers and a higher demo rating than any show on the major broadcast networks Sunday night and ranks as cable’s most-watched entertainment telecast this year…so far. BTW: THE BIBLE trended as #1 on Twitter with celebrities and influencers tweeting their own personal tune-in messages. If
you include the show’s repeat, the viewership rises to 14.8 million for the

“No fireworks show at Tanglewood Park this 4th of July? Forsyth County leaders saying that there are just NOT enough business sponsors to help with the expenses. Drug overdoses have surpassed car crashes as the leading cause of accidental death in the U.S.  NC has a higher than average overdose rate. To help: state lawmakers are set to approve the Good Samaritan Bill, which would limit criminal charges for someone who calls 911 during an overdose situation.    Read more at WSOC
