Breaking News: The Charlotte City Council has voted to repeal its own controversial “bathroom’ ordinance,” in exchange –  the North Carolina General Assembly in Raleigh will repeal ‘House Bill 2’ by Dec. 31.

The council voted 9-0 to repeal its non-discrimination ordinance Monday.

The pharmaceutical company Mylan says a generic version of its EpiPen anti-allergy device will be in pharmacies sometime this week.

The generic cost will be half the cost of its brand-name.

BTW: In less than 10 years, the price for a two-pack of Epi-Pen auto-injectors has risen from about $100 to more than $600 dollars.   Source: NPR

 

NFL: End Zone ‘celebration’ leads to Red Kettle donation?

Dallas Cowboy’s running back Ezekiel Elliott pulled off the most charitable excessive celebration penalty of the NFL season.  Elliott capped off his two-yard touchdown run on Sunday by running towards a giant Salvation Army red kettle behind the end zone and jumping right inside the kettle.   Elliott who was given a 15 yard penalty and will likely be fined, told reporters that  he will “match whatever they fine me with a donation to the Salvation Army.”   BTW: Dallas Cowboys defeated the Tampa Bay…26-20   www.usatoday.com/
