Experts: Wait an extra year before enrolling their child in kindergarten?     A new study from Stanford University suggests that delaying the start of school brings many psychological benefits lasting through age 11. Toyota says it’s recalling 6.5 million cars. The problem: a defect in a power window switch could short circuit and lead to a fire. Models in the recall include Matrix, RAV4, Highlander and Tundra from 2005 through December 2010.  CNN

 

The North Carolina Museum of History in Raleigh is honoring the life of Billy Graham with a unique exhibit that includes memorabilia from his life. The upcoming exhibit (which opens on Friday, Nov. 6 – the day before Graham’s 97th birthday) tells a lot about Graham’s life and faith, keeping the focus on Jesus. Traffic Alert: Operation Stop Arm

The State Highway Patrol and local law enforcement will be aggressively enforcing stop arm and other traffic violations in and around school zones through this Friday. BTW: +800,000 kids in the state rely on buses daily.

Passing a stopped school bus is a Class 1 misdemeanor. Penalty includes 5 driving points on driver’s license if convicted and a minimum fine of $500.
