The current Powerball jackpot is huge – the largest ever in U.S. history. Powerball has sold $2.26 billion worth of tickets in the past 2 months. *The next drawing will be TONIGHT at 10:59pm.  http://goo.gl/hJY4In

According to mathematicians, your odds of hitting the jackpot is 1 in 292 million.  In other words: its far more likely that you will get struck by lightning, become the president of the United States — or even die from an asteroid striking Earth — than it is for you to actually win the Powerball jackpot. Source: Clark Howard    http://www.clarkhoward.com/why-you-shouldnt-play-the-lottery-why-you

Lower back pain is the world’s leading cause of disability.  New research suggesting that regular exercise significantly reduces the risk of developing low back pain.  On the flip side: Back belts and shoe inserts do little to prevent low back pain.-Over 80% of us suffer acute low back pain at least once in our lives, and about half will experience a recurrence within one year.

Forgiveness: Continue to pray for the family of Jacob Strickland…

The 21 year old was struck and killed by a car on Salisbury Street in Lexington last Saturday night. The driver of the Camry (Rayshann Cotton) was not injured in the accident.    Mark Strickland (Jacob’s father) took to social media on Tuesday. Here’s what he had to say…

“ I have some words I want to say to Rayshann Cotton, the man driving the car that killed my son Jacob.    Rayshann, I want you to know that I forgive you. I was told that when the accident happened that you stayed with my son, you called for help, and that you have cooperated with the investigation in every way. I want you to know that I don’t blame you. Accidents happen and you stood up and took responsibility like a man. Don’t carry guilt around for an accident that was nobody’s fault. You are a young man and I don’t want you to live with guilt. Jacob was a very bright man with a very bright future. If you want to honor Jacob, honor him by picking up the torch and living to your full potential. A bright shining light was taken from the world. Let your light shine all the brighter to help fill the darkness his departure left behind.  Walk away from this knowing that you have my forgiveness, and pay it forward.”     -Mark Strickland
