Battling ISIS and the humanitarian crisis in Syria…

Governor Pat McCrory is requesting that the Federal government stop sending Syrian refugees into North Carolina. McCrory said there should be a ‘pause in the process’ to protect (our own) citizens.  He feels that these security concerns are warranted after the attacks on Paris on Friday.   http://goo.gl/2dQ3ul

-More than half the nation’s governors (27 states) say they oppose letting Syrian refugees into their states.  http://goo.gl/bUATTw

 

World Relief High Point, a refugee resettlement organization, states that in the past 5 years, the US has received less than 2,500 Syrian refugees. BTW: Each refugee who comes to the US  has undergone a thorough vetting (or through and security screening process that generally lasts at least 18 months.
