Left behind? Team bus takes off without Lane Kiffin (Alabama’s Offensive Coordinator) who was chatting with reporters after the Crimson Tide’s big win over Clemson last night.   So Lane, what are you going to do now that your team just won the national championship? QUOTE:  “I’m going to have to walk back to the hotel or call Uber because the team just left without me while I was talking with reporters.”  http://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2016/1/12/10753694/lane-kiffin-bus-alabama-championship-oh-no

For better or worse: The life of a coach’s wife…  A full-time job in coaching college football means anything but a normal work-life balance with family. There’s no six-figure salary or benefit package for the wife of a football coach, but the position comes with a set of challenges all its own. Check out Beth Satterfield’s story.  Beth is married to ASU Head Football coach Scott Satterfield…   http://goo.gl/Ezh9mw

Better odds than winning the Powerball!  Carrabba’s Italian Grill is giving away FREE food to the first 1 million people to sign up (online).  The promotion is a marketing tease to introduce their new menu.  http://carrabb.as/1nc7wI1

Flip of a coin? Thanks to rising metal prices, the U.S. Mint has had to spend more money to produce and distribute nickels and pennies than the coins are actually worth. BTW: It costs 8 cents to make a nickel.  Cha, Cha, Changes anytime soon?? Probably not:  An industry group estimates that changing the composition of nickels, dimes and quarters could cost businesses between $2.4 billion and $10 billion to modify coin machines.  Ultimately it will be up to lawmakers to decide when and if any changes should be made to current U.S. coins. http://goo.gl/PNYntA

The touring elephants will be sent to the organization’s Center for Elephant Conservation in Florida. Be Prepared: Tips on surviving (and outlasting) severe winter weather.  Your vehicle: If your car battery is close to 3 years old, have it checked / replaced. Make certain your tires are properly inflated.  Home: If your pipes do freeze, do not thaw them with extreme heat. Instead, thaw the pipes slowly with warm air from your hair dryer.  http://goo.gl/zrnXwh

De-clutter January: TIP: Clear out your car of extra clutter.  You really don’t need extra stuff stored in your vehicle, right?  FYI: Eliminating the extra weight from your car will help it run more efficiently too.  Check out more ways to de-clutter your way to a more peaceful 2016…  http://www.naturallivingideas.com/31-minimalist-hacks/
