Move over sports drinks: Researchers say a little sugar water may be superior to many of the sports drinks on the market. Their study found that sucrose, found in table sugar, did better as a fuel than glucose.  Sucrose appears to be more easily absorbed by the body, so more accessible as a fuel for athletes.

Three doctoral candidates at MIT are looking at ways to re-use your dirty laundry water?  Their new company, AquaFresco, is working on a special filtration system that would be able to reuse 95% of the water and detergent from every load of wash. That filter could save thousands on your water bill.

 

Are you a pancake or French toast person? Researchers say restaurant versions of pancakes, in general, are the healthier pick. But French toast might be better in other ways. It has more fiber, less sodium and more protein. So, which do you pick? Adding butter and syrup is a No-No.
