 A young man of great character:     Prayers going out to the family and friends of 19 year old Riley LaRue who passed away early Saturday morning outside near Richmond, Virginia. Riley’s father – Rusty LaRue a former assistant basketball coach and star player at Wake Forest – confirmed the death via a text over the weekend saying…  “Still in shock… (Riley) was in Richmond visiting girlfriend. Naghmeh Abedini, the wife of imprisoned American pastor Saeed Abedini, is asking Christians to PRAY for her husband and the persecuted church.

Reading Writing and CPR training?   There is a growing trend as more and more school systems across the US are requiring students to pass CPR training before they graduate.  North Carolina (HB 837) implemented CPR training as a graduation requirement back in 2014. BTW: The American Heart Association suggesting that if a ‘trained’ person administers CPR, the chances of survival can double or triple. http://goo.gl/cxSw6d

The Winston-Salem State University board of trustees has banned backpacks and outside food and beverages from home football games and home basketball games. The ‘back pack’ policy is similar to policies at other area colleges (including Wake Forest).  The policy bans backpacks that are larger than 12 inches by 12 inches by 12 inches.

Drawstring bags aren’t considered backpacks under the policy.
