Check out the news blog for the Fox 8 story spotlighting the 103-year-old Dick Douglas Jr, from Greensboro, who was honored with the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award this week, a high honor among Eagle Scouts for a lifetime of work. The great-grandson of Stephen Douglas, of the Lincoln-Douglas Debates fame,  Douglas joined the Boy Scouts at the age of 12 and became an Eagle Scout in December 1925. http://goo.gl/fQg3h9

Coffee shops are making a difference in Kiev (the capital of Ukraine). According to Mission Network News, coffee shop counselors in the country are meeting with vulnerable women they’ve met online. “At our last count 1 to 2 unborn babies were being saved every week.” Officials say: “They text, they chat, they build that relationship online, and then they meet with them at coffee shops around the city.” When coffee shop counselors and the troubled women meet up, talk eventually turns to Christ.
