RECALL: The maker of GoGo Squeez is voluntarily recalling some of its kids applesauce pouches because of natural mold contamination.

The manufacturer says the mold is the type that grows on fruit and poses no serious health risk. GoGo Squeez products affected have a “Best Before Date” between June/30/16 and July/26/16.  Recall info on the News Blog.

Thousands are still in need after devastating flooding in South Carolina.

The South Carolina Emergency Management webpage suggests that the most needed items include nonperishable foods, blankets, sheets, pillows, towels, diapers, baby wipes, baby formula, baby food, toothpaste, soap, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, mops, plastic flatware, buckets, rubber gloves, sponges and trash bags. Most needed: monetary assistance.  www.scemd.org/recovery-section/donations-and-volunteers.
