He was fired for what? A New York Walmart employee who was fired after redeeming $5.10 in empty cans and bottles found in the parking lot is getting national support.  Thomas Smith, 52, worked at Walmart Supercenter, where he was paid $9 an hour to gather shopping carts. Customers often left behind trash, including cans and bottles. On Nov. 6, he was fired.  The manager said Smith’s decision to redeem the bottles and cans at the store equated to theft of Walmart property and violated company policy.  http://goo.gl/4EDcgQ

Micro-Sleep?  A new study says when you’re crazy tired, you might actually be snoozing without realizing it.  “Microsleep” is when you appear awake, eyes wide open, but your brain has slipped into sleep mode. Microsleep normally lasts only a few seconds, but could be dangerous if driving. http://goo.gl/Qk7JrM
