Wells Fargo is closing its Personal and Small Business Insurance location in Winston-Salem, eliminating 55 jobs. Consumer experts are warning us to be extra cautious when sorting through all this new healthcare stuff online – scammers are setting up fake websites claiming to be legitimate and advertising a cheaper rate. And, if anyone calls you, claiming to be from the government and asks for your personal information, it’s not legitimate. BTW: The government already has ALL of your personal info. According to the Better Business Bureau: The only official government site is healthcare.gov. Experts suggesting to NOT be too quick to sign up, but DO YOUR RESEARCH on which option is best for you. www.healthcare.gov

DOT: Dozens of new traffic cameras will be added by the end of this week, a new project includes upgrading the region’s traffic camera network. Workers have installed 76 new cameras making 168 total cameras around Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point. All traffic cameras will go offline on Wednesday and Thursday while the upgrade is completed.
It’s not quite an open and shut case. Still police in Brunswick County are looking for a thief who took an estimated 10,000 “Venus fly trap” plants from a local grower. The plants are valued at about $65,000 dollars. Authorities say the plants were taken from the greenhouses at Fly Trap Farm sometime overnight last Friday.
