Great summer for sharing Jesus with kids. Child Evangelism Fellowship reporting that over 140, 000 children attended the ministry’s “5-Day Clubs” over the summer. Over 23,000 kids made commitments to accept Christ. FYI: The clubs are similar to traditional Vacation Bible School, meeting on a Monday through Friday for 90 minutes each day. Most of the volunteers who lead the 5-Day Clubs are teenagers.

Great weather for the Greater Greensboro CROP Hunger Walk yesterday. An estimated 6,000 walkers and more than 100 runners raised over $200,000 dollars for local and global hunger relief.  www.cropwalkonline.org

Crews are still searching for survivors after that massive 7.2 magnitude earthquake that hit eastern Turkey on Sunday.  Over 200 people confirmed dead.  (RnR /  CNN)

The official Steve Jobs biography goes on sale today. Apple co-founder was quoted during a series of interviews with biographer Walter Isaacson…”You’re born alone, you’re going to die alone. And does anything else really matter?”  Steve Jobs passed away on October 5th after battling a rare form of pancreatic cancer.  He was 56 yeas old.
