Domino’s Pizza now offers a gluten-free crust, sort of?  Even though the recipe itself is certified as gluten free, there is the risk of cross contamination with wheat products when prepared at Domino’s stores.  Domino’s says that the new crust is recommended for those with mild gluten sensitivity but NOT for people with celiac disease. To help customers decide whether this product is suitable for their diet, Domino’s has posted a video on YouTube.  http://www.news-record.com/content/2012/05/08/article/dominos_gluten_free_crust

Pay Gap Continues between Women and Men. In North Carolina in 2010, women on average made only 81 cents for every dollar paid to men. That amounts to a yearly wage gap of nearly $8,000 dollars. According to the National Partnership for Women & Families, women in our state head more than 500,000 households. More than a third of those households live in poverty.  FYI: Back in 1963 women made only 59 cents on average for every dollar paid to men. Two new health reports just out this week forecasting that over 40% of adults will be considered ‘obese’ by the year 2030.  Current figures indicate that 34 percent of adults in theU.S.currently are obese, and six percent are severely obese.  BTW: Severe obesity generally is defined as being about 100 pounds overweight. One study concludes the source of our ever expanding waistline is our stationary environment, rather than a lack of individual willpower.  RnR
