Angel Food Ministries is now ‘out of business’ after 17 years of providing discounted groceries to needy families across the country, citing the economic downturn as its downfall.  Based on the new list of ‘America’s 50 Best Cities’ created by Business Week, Winston-Salem and Greensboro are some of the BEST cites to call home. The income for the ‘middle class’ has gone down over the last 10 years…while  some basic costs have gone up…a lot over that same time period.  CNNMoney reporting that the 2010 median household income was $49,445 dollars (down about 7 percent from 2000).  As incomes have dropped, several necessities cost more…
Groceries: A dozen eggs cost 18.5 percent more…
Gas Prices: Gas prices jumped 48 percent…
Family Health Insurance: The largest jump in the report was family health insurance, which cost 69 percent more…

 The new movie Dolphin Tale about Winter, is based on true events about a young dolphin who loses her tail in a crab trap. As a result of the accident, Winter loses her ability to swim on her own.  She gets a lot of help from actors…Harry Connick Jr., Morgan Freeman, Ashley Judd and Austin Highsmith (she’s a 1999 graduate from Reynolds High School). “Dolphin Tale” (from the producers of the Blindside) opens in theaters nationwide this Friday ( Sept  23rd)Check out the movie trailers, games and the ‘winter’ cam http://dolphintalemovie.warnerbros.com/index.html#/home
