Equifax says it will allow customers to lock and unlock access to their credit files for free —for life — in the aftermath of the company’s cybersecurity scandal. Equifax is still advising customers affected by a recent security breach to freeze their credit.   https://goo.gl/9NoxdL

 

The personal information of +1,500 students at North Carolina A&T University was leaked following a “data security incident.” It happened on Tuesday when a faculty member within the College of Business and Economics accidentally emailed a file containing personal information to a group of students. The data included birthdates, GPA’s, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses.

Update: A mobile U-S Military hospital ship is leaving Norfolk, Virginia for Puerto Rico.  Several Cruise lines are helping to evacuating some residents and visitors wanting to leave the island.

The North Carolina Chapter of ‘Puerto Rico Rises’ is accepting donations to help the residents of Puerto Rico impacted by Hurricane Maria.

There are two drop off locations in the Triad:
*Egerton & Associates in Greensboro + Grace Point UPC in High Point
The group is primarily in need of water filters, individually wrapper over the counter pills, batteries, first-aid kits, insect repellent and other hygiene items. Monetary donations will be used to purchase items and assist with shipping.

The ‘Neighborz App’ was started by two recent Wake Forest Grads

A local company – Small Footprint – was hired to to develop the software.

Prayer concern: Natalie Grant who will undergo surgery to remove half of her thyroid, where two tumors have been found. The surgery is set for October 10th.
