Fraternity Church of the Brethren celebrates 240 years

Leaving a legacy:  Fraternity Church of the Brethren in Winston-Salem 3760 Fraternity Church Road is celebrating its 240th anniversary this weekend called ‘Faith and Footwork: Looking Back and Going Forward.

Pastor Paul Stutzman states: “Hopefully it won’t just be a time to look back and say we have 240 years and look at all the things we did in the past, but also a way to look forward and go forward.”

*Fraternity Church of the Brethren traces its roots to a group of German Baptist Brethren who migrated to the Muddy Creek area of Forsyth County from Pennsylvania and Maryland in the 1770s.  http://goo.gl/aHPndb
