Thanks to Tim Hanauer for sharing some tips today about how to keep our yards looking lovely through the fall and winter. If you’d like to conatct Tim or learn more about his very unique company, visit: http://www.earthg.com/
Tips:
TO DO IN FALL: Fertilize Fescue Yards (not bermuda yards), Plant Pansies…. (secret bed and spacing recipe), Leaves (yuk), AND PLANT SHRUBS & TREES NOW TO CHRISTMAS (w/ a few exceptions).
WHAT NOT TO DO IN THE FALL: Prune (especially hard prune) most shrubs and trees, NEVER fertilize shrubs and trees w/ nitrogen fertilizer in the fall, Don’t mulch just before leaf fall – wait till that chore is just about over…
